[Q] Cant see Internal storage card in recovery
Hi guys.
I want to flash the GT-N7000 of a friend of mine but here 's the thing.
I got all i need (raw kernel, philz cwm, rom, gapps etc)
when i boot into stock recovery i can select install from external storage. That gives me the message: failed to mount.
We looked into the phone and tadaa there was no SD Card.
My question is: is it possible to mount / install zip files from internal card? I can access the card trough USB cabel on my pc. I copied all the zip files there but i cant acces it trough the stock samsung recovery.
I hope u guys can help :)

[Q] /efs partition gone
Hello,
My /EFS partition is gone. I dont know why, because I wasnt doing anything with my phone at that moment. Until this problem I was running cyanogenmod nightly. The battery was wasted I think because it feels slightly thicker than normal. I already replaced it.
I have an efs.img made with SA manager.
Symptoms:
Bootloop
Original recovery says:
I can get into recovery & download mode.
I can still flash philz custom recovery.
When in cwm I can still flash a zip with a rom, but it wont start.
These are the steps I tried to get my phone working again:
ODIN
Flashed stock jellybean with original pit file, and checked "clear efs" in odin 3.09.
Custom Recovery
Connected with ADB, and executed the following commands:
But as you can see that doesnt help much.
I tried several other things, but they boil down to the same. I used an aroma efs restore tool, but it just executes the dd command and fails the same way.

Using custom ROM - ParanoidAndroid 4.6 and when I want to take a picture the phone turn off, nothing can be done - only helps to remove the battery. I noticed that this happens only when I use the flesh - without doing normal - This applies to the original AOSP camera.
I also tried with google camer from Playstore, but it is also the same - including even have a problem with the recording, because the image is freezing.
Can someone help me?
ps. I'm sorry for my english, is really weak :D I hope, everything is clear and understandable.

Hi,
I recently flashed my Note from the stock ICS to CyanogenMod (I cheated and used the app). I have then updated to the latest nightly release and all is looking good, however, I am wondering if I am running the correct Kernel version, or if there is a better one that I should be using.
Also, where can I download a safe version of the Google Play Store apk?

[Q] Note | Cannot dial | No data connection?
Hey all!
I just bought a secondhand note, and immediately got the sim-lock removed.
Now when I insert any sim card, I get prompted the code but when I try to make a call I don't hear anything.
Also: When I try to open the browser I get a "No data connection" error.
I do have a signal tho. I am going to try flashing a stock (updated) rom to see if that helps.
Does anybody have suggestions on what to do?
Edit: I installed CYanogenMod and now I get "no network" when I try to dial. Next step: the stock rom.
Edit 2: Newest stock rom, same situation. "Not registered on network."
Edit 3: After a bit of digging I found an IMEI mismatch. I am trying to correct this and if this doesn't work and no-one has a solution it's back to the store with this fin phone xD

[Q] nv files in the EFS folder/partition
Hello everyone,
N7000, rooted, on stock 4.1.2
In my EFS folder (which is already backed up), I find nv_data.bin, nv_data.bak and nv_core.bak, alongwith their corresponding md5 files.
The only problem with my phone is a dead gps. After much googling and trying out different hardware/software solutions, I am convinced the nv_data file might be the cause.
I compared the nv_data.bin and nv_data.bak files (both 2mb each) on a windows machine and find a lot of differences. Also, the .bak is dated 01/01/2012, while the .bin carries the current date.
So, would it be safe to try out the .bak file by renaming it to nv_data.bin? I can always go back to the original, right?
Also, the 3rd file I mentioned, nv_core.bay (also dated 01/01/2012) is just 1 mb in size. What exactly is its purpose?
Thanks for any advice, I'm very eager to get the gps working and I love my phone!

Do any KK Recoveries/Kernels support SD-Ext (Ext2, Ext3 or Ext4) ?
Hi All,
I've tried all the known Apps...
S2E = Not supported on anything newer than JellyBean (Android 4.1.2)
Link2SD = Corrupt, can't find partition... therefore doesn't work
Mounts2SD = Finds partition, says it works. Moves all the files... and then still says it has no space!!!!
Now all my Apps are moved, even though it's not working as says run out of space, despite having 2GB spare.... Now I can't even format that partition, as no Recovery see's it.... And so Android tells me I'm running OS in unstable mode. Format partition... (which I can't, unless I hack it...)
So, anyone know of a Recovery that supports SD-Ext ???
Thanks, Lister
