How to hard brick my note

Yes. You read it right. I would like to hard brick my phone. The reason is the camera, sensors and the speakers are half dead. They work-they won't work. My parents will only buy a new phone if the phone becomes completely dead -_-
So here I am. How can I brick it?

Note 1 Stuck At Samsung Logo Screen!

Hi Peeps, Happy New Years
Don't Worry I read every thread on XDA and no one has a problem as similar as mines and don't know EXACTLY what type of brick I have.:p
I got this problem with my Galaxy Note (N7000):crying:
It all started when I was running Ultimate Rom v6 and decided to upgrade to kitkat.:D
I searched around and found that Spirit Rom had quite positive reviews.:D
So I downloaded the rom and tried to flash but then ended up with status 7 error.
I then found out I was using an outdated version of CWM (I think it was 6.0.3.7)
I then flashed this file by zedomax (http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/G...Compatible.zip)
because it had compatible recovery with Kitkat roms and CM 10.2 kernal. Installation went fine and I set up everything.
I then installed lollipop theme (It came with boot animation). Then I rebooted to see how the boot animation looked but to my despair I got stuck at Samsung Boot Logo Screen and couldn't get past it. I couldn't get into recovery, only downloading mode. So then I flashed stock JB rom with PC (Odin). The flashing was successful but I'm still stuck at Logo screen.:mad::mad:
Also I would like to also mention that the phone was NEVER on ICS. It was on stock GB 2.3.6, then rooted and flashed Ultimate Rom V6.
Any help would be appreciated :highfive::victory:

Hey guys, I am looking for a ROM which is stable and has the least bugs (but isn't the stock firmware) for a non-techie person to use.

I tried using CyanogenMod 11 (4.4.4) but it was full of bugs. :(

PTP to MTP switch problem

I need some help. I was trying to put the Cyanogen custom rom on my Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 using the CM Installer. It is all simple, but I keep getting the message "we couldn't talk to your phone", so I gave up. In the steps of getting it, the program said to switch from MTP mode to PTP so I did it. And now that I backed out, I cannot connect to my PC because it is stuck in this PTP mode and I don't know how to switch back from PTP to MTP. If anyone knows how to do that, or help me follow trough my procedure of installing the Cyanogenmod to my phone I would be very thankful.

Weird battery issue (yes, I tried 3 new batteries and still have the same issue).

$

So I recently flashed Note from stock ROM to CyanogenMod to OmniROM.

But the battery on CyanogenMod and OmniROM are giving weird issues. For example the battery is showing 40% but my phone directly shuts off. If I charge it, it shows 0% battery. Next time it will shut off at 60%.
This happens randomly. And yes, I have tried wiping battery stats, even different ROMs as I said above and three new batteries.

And sometimes the screen just turns black and I am unable to do anything. The haptic feedback works when I tap the menu and back key but the display is giving out pure black. Now this one might seem to be a ROM related issue, but I don't see people with any such errors on the OmniROM thread.

And I cannot go back to stock ROM or any other ROM cause it's terribly laggy and the person who uses this phone has over 2000 contacts in the contact list, so that takes literally 30 seconds to open every time.

Restore mp4

$

Hi all,

A friend of mine has had a Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 and recorded a mp4 video.

This file was put on a USB-stick and afterwards deleted on that USB stick.
Now he wants to have the mp4 back.

I managed to recover the mp4 file, but apparantly, the file was partially overwritten, and
I already have a tool to repair the video but it wants an original mp4 (I suppose to repair the header).

Is there anyone willing to upload a mp4 (a few seconds should be enough; recorded in standard quality)?

thx a lot in advance,
Deimie

[Q] WIFI is dead after 'crash'

$

I have a serious problem with my Galaxy Note. All of a sudden Wifi is not working anymore (cannot be turned on anymore at all). Any ideas as how to get it fixed?

Background: I was playing a online game, put the device on the table (waiting for a timed task to finish). About 5 Minutes later I was picking it up again and noticed that the phone was shut off. Turned it on again and noticed that WIFI was greyed out. Other bugs noticed: The game data was wiped and all device administrators have been unselected (I use a tool that needs device administrator privileges to turn on the phone by swiping over the motion sensor). I don't know if WIFI was turned on or off at the time of crash. Anyhow - seems like some files that were in use (or recently in use) were deleted/corrupted. Probably including some WIFI components.

Stuff tried already: Turning Flight mode on/off. Rebooting Phone. Removing Battery. Various service codes found on the net like *#232339#, *#526# and *#528# all which do noting (do not open anything; seem to be invalid).

Phone is running on Stock Android 4.1.2, it is NOT rooted.

Any advices how to fix the problem (I'd really really really like to keep my app data, so factory reset is something I'd like to avoid). Found a tool called "fxr wifi fix and rescue" but dunno if it would be aplicable in this case or if it could make things even worse. Anything else? Any log files that can be checked? Anything to determine if this is hardware or software related?

Thanks for any help....
