Help needed....I am running M.a.Z superlite v1.0 and its radio is N7000xxlrk is there a new version or better radio I can flash for my Note1 as Im not getting a very good signal.... do I need to flash a new rom (nothing wrong with this one) or can I just flash a new baseband

I tried a lot of KK ROM but still i haven't found "the best"... I tried CARBON, DU, PA, OMNI and many more....... For me, now, Carbon and Omni are better than others, but i maybe wrong......So my question is:
Which are the best KK ROM?

Hello Guys, this would be the first Time I would ask for help in XDA, I'm sorry but I would really need a fix for this :(

I have my friends "HaiPai i9277 MTK6577 Phone" with a Samsung Galaxy Note i9220 ROM in it (4.1.1) , and it was perfectly working fine with that rom but he wants it to be flashed with a new rom.
:so what I did was
--Flashed (I think a wrong one) kernel from philz
--Flashed a custom i9220 rom and get stuck at loading screen
--So Then flashed a stock HaiPai i9277 rom which I found at needrom . com using flash_tool

And the Problem goes just right after rebooting, the phone showed a Disfigured Splitted Screen. (I'll attach a photo of it)

I manage to use it even though the screen is splitted into four (with really dead graphics) and enabled the Pointer location to help me use it.

I installed cwm using flash tool that works, but again, with disfigured screen, but can't go into download mode to use odin (or I think I just don't know how to go into download mode)

Could you guys please Help me Fix this Problem... I'm afraid to get more errors so I stopped flashing roms and asked here for help.
I really need to get this phone working because it's not mine.

---I got this problem because at first I didn't know it was a haipai i9277!! I just found it out by removing the battery with its label at the back, with some chinese words and an i9277 label in it..
--- sim undetected / wifi / bluetooth are also not working :(

Phone:
HaiPai i9277 (or Star Note i9220 I believe same specs with note i9220 and n7000)
Android 4.1.1 (but says it is ICS when clicking about phone)
baseband maui 11amd w12.22.sp.v8.p2, 2012/08/22
kernel 3.0.13 smp preempt tue sep 25 09:41:39 cst 2012

Hello,

After upgrading the OS on my N7000 to various versions (4.0.4, 4.1.2, Omni ROM 4.4.4), I came to the conclusion that I really like the original Samsung apps made specifically to the Note. I don't care too much about games or modern apps. However, I want keep using social networking apps like Facebook and Whatsapp and also a good HTML support when browsing (I don't care if I need to use 3rd-party browsers).

I wonder if going back to Android 2.3.6 I wouldn't get the best experience and performance on built-in apps (mainly video editor and S-Note). When I bought my Note it came with Android 4.0.3, so I never tested it on 2.3.6. What do you think about downgrading to 2.3.6? Will I get the best experience with built-in apps and keep compatibility with mainstream social networking apps?

I am planning to flash a 4.4 based ROM to my Hong Kong GT-N7000, and I am looking for a ROM that is highly customizable, I mean there are more options in settings.apk for me to tweak the phone. So which ROM will you recommend? CyanogenMod? OmniROM? Moki? ParanoidAndroid? C-RoM? Thanks in advance.

My N7000 (Note 1) is stuck after updating to the latest CM 11 Nighly 20141203 version.
It is stuck in the bootloop & doesnt start.

I tried booting in recovery and backing up data on Sdcard1/storage.
But it restarted in between the backup & doesnt boot to recovery any more.

Please help in recovering data and App settings before i do a hard reset on the phone

My Galaxy Note 1 's power key cant wake up my phone.
Is it a way to let the volume key wake up my phone?

I have try the following but not work:
open this file： /system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl

change this line:
key 114 VOLUME_DOWN
to:
key 114 VOLUME_DOWN WAKE

I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but I wanted to replace the usb port on my Note and now i'm stuck on the simplest part, unscrewing the backplate...:(
I've tried everything i've found on the web to unscrew a stripped screw, but nothing really worked. I've tried at least 6 different screwdrivers, drilling, the rubber band trick, a knife...
I've never done this before, the screw were stripped when I bought the phone.
Please answer or send a link to another forum, thank you.

Title says it all. Looking for the radio/modem(whichever you want to call it, just one file) for the GT-N7000.
I feel it was much easier to find for my SGH-I717.
So folks, if you have preferably the ODIN flashable please hook me up.
Any or all versions would be fine as I plan to host them on my cloud and put a post in the general forum to help people don the road find them easier.

Hi Guys. short (and maybe dumb) question but i have to be sure before messing up the phone of my friend.

I would like to flash CM11 nightlies with clockworkmod on a Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000.

I have read several tutorials for flashing the GT-N7000 and i'm not sure which is the best way to do it.
It is neccesary to update or change the (current stock) kernel? Or is it possible to just copy the recovery and ROM to the SD card, boot into download mode, install from there?
Sorry i only have experience with flashing my HTC One X.

Hi All,

Just a quick general question, has Android 5.x (Lollipop) changed the filesystem paths in general...??

For as long as I can remember, most Android releases, both Internal and External locations have remained the same... I think one of the Android versions changed it ever so slightly, but can't remember which one.

However with Android 5.x (Lollipop), certainly with ours (and other devices I've seen trying to get Lollipop builds going). They all talk about having difficulties with accessing Internal and External, and now the paths are either...

\mnt\Emulated\SDcard\0\
\mnt\Media_RW\SDcard0

or variations of that, instead the usual paths.....

Is this the new way that Android 5.x has changed, or is it just a case of while people are trying to compile it, it will then return to the same locations as previous versions once all the bugs are out and its good to go....?

Good day to all. I'm a long user of TW Roms (JB 4.1.2). I use my n7000 exclusively for gaming purposes. I prefer "performance and graphics" rather than "features". Right now, my rom is TW JB 4.1.2 based rom (Aryamod) with a custom kernel (Forest Kernel 1.9.1). So my question is, are there any significant difference when it comes to "performance/ speed/ 3D graphics/ increase FPS" if I decided to switch from 4.1.2 to 4.4 Roms (AOSP,CM,Omni and etc etc.)? Remember, I'm using Forest Kernel, which have OC CPU (1.6mhz), GPU (400mhz), and 60hz screen panel. Are there any counterpart for this kernel in 4.4 Roms? I was told that KK 4.4 roms has the most updated mali drivers (not sure), so I assume that there are some difference graphics wise. So when it comes to gaming, does KK 4.4 perform better than TW (JB 4.1.2) roms? If yes, what rom and what kernel? Thanks.

Hello,

My Samsung Galaxy Note is now 2 years old, I putted CyanogenMod their custom rom for the Note on it a while ago.
Now I got the latest version of CyanogenMod, but my battery is empty and when I wanted to charge it, it won't charge at all.
It won't even boot and sometimes it charges a little.
It maked sometimes a cracking (hardware) sound when I plugged the charging in and now it won't charge at all when plugged in, it doesn't make that strange sound anymore, but I think it's broken.
I can't get it working, what should I do?

I feel a bit overwhelmed with all the tutorials that there are and I am not sure which one I should follow.

A friend of mine gave me his Galaxy Note N7000 because it was painfully slow. I have unlocked/rooted/flashed etc. several times other devices, but not with one as old as this one. It runs Android 2.3.6 and it is not OTA upgradeable for some reason. I Just want to flash a stable CM 10 ROM and leave it like that for the rest of its days.
