[Q] Why There's High Pitched Screeching Noise in my Galaxy Note GT-N7000?

Hello there Android Central.
First I would like to apologize if this has already been answered. but i didn't find it!
So I have a Samsung GT-N7000 Galaxy Note Rooted running the ICS 4.0.4 .

I just came to know high pitched screeching coming through my speakers when i play anything (Video,Music even during calls),
I thought that it's speaker's fault, I Plugged in Earphones, they also produced the same noise.
In Normal Carrier Call Everything goes fine,But When I do Skype or Viber, I hear that Screeching Noise..
IN SHORT: My Note's Sound system gone mad ..

This Problem occurred when i upgraded my GT-N7000 from ICS to 4.1.2 JB..
I thought it'd be a OS issue so i downgrade to ICS.
But problem remains there..

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 1 with Custom Firm installed and the USB port damaged.

I want to reinstall the original Firm but what I can not do with ODIN because I have damaged the USB port.
Where could get the original Firm to be installed by the SD or what would be the method of installation.

RSYNC broken in CyanogenMod 11?

Hi,

I've always used Terminal IDE to rsync my stock android with my Linux box. However, since I "upgraded" to CyanogenMod 11, rsync is highly broken. I get tons of errors like this:

receiving incremental file list
rsync: readlink_stat("somefilename") failed: Out of memory (12)
rsync: readlink_stat("someotherfilename") failed: Out of memory (12)
...................

Any idea what is happening, and how I can fix this, or do rsync?
How do you people do rsync?

I reinstalled CyanogenMod from scratch formatting everything (even /system) and the problem persists.

[Q] Did I brick my GT-N7000? Freezes after start-up.

Hello xda forum!

My Gt-N7000 became ever more slow and could no longer update the apps due to a full memory. Finally got around to rooting the phone with the PhilZ-cwm6-XXLT9-ORA-5.08.5-signed (.zip) file using Odin. The plan was to use Superuser and System Tuner to get rid of all the bloatware.

Well, I'm quite the noob and just followed some guide online. The phone rooted (confrimed with root checker) but now displays a yellow warning triangle on start-up and sometimes hanged for no apparent reason.

I then proceeded to try cleaning the bloatware. Using Lite-ROM Creator I imported a "fish-literom" something to System Tuner but it never loaded. I believe it was probably meant for an earlier version of android. I can no longer check what version I have but I would guess XXLT5 on 4.3 jelly bean, something like that. But there I was, rooted and messed up, but with all the bloatware still around.


Three days ago I needed to switch the sim card after forgetting to pay my phone bill (again). With the new sim, the phone started up but froze a couple of seconds after presenting the desktop. I switched back to the old sim and it was the same story. I have now confirmed that the original sim is alive again, so it shouldn't block any widget loading data or similar upon starting. Still the same. The silly aquarium background loads and everything works for a couple of seconds, then it dies. To restart I need to remove the battery.

Reading on forums I understood one should to press volume down + power + main to enter some sort of Odin boot. It displays:

Product name: GT-N7000
Custom binary download: yes (1 counts)
Current binary: Custom

"Downloading... Do not turn off target !!"

But after one hour of this I gave up and turned off the target anyways. I re-started the phone countless times now. I also tried to rush to menu - phone details to check my version details but the phone freezes too fast for me to finish the job.
Upon usb-ing to my PC I hear the new-device-sound but nothing ever shows up. It's like connecting a goddamn usb light or something.

I'm quite desperate, since I really can't afford a new phone and also have no clue what back-up program I used to save my life online. Some kind of app that backed up contacts and all, but who the f can remember which one?!

Did I kill my phone?
Is there anything I can do?
I'm ready to try just about anyhing and would be ever grateful for any advice!

gtn7000 internal storage can't mount problem sloved!

I've saw a couple of people are having the problem of internal storage/usb storage can't mount
I've solved the problem!
Below are the step!
( all data in the internal storage will be erased !)

1. clear data and cache in recovery mode(please remove external sd card)
2.press volume down+power button+home button
3. connect to pc
4.flash back Galaxy Note gtn7000 original firmware by using odin

After flashing original firmware by using odin
it will reboot
just ignore all the step to register your phone
in notification bar you might saw a notification saying sd card blank
press to format

after format

pressing up volume + power button + home button
clear data and cache again
insert external sd card
It's all done!

wifi is gray can't detect wifi

hello

i got an European galaxy note but it didn't support arabic so i have to change rom so i can read and write arabic but when i changed rom
it worked perfectly for about a month but now wifi signal turn gray and can't detect wifi's networks so do you think a flashed a wrong Kernal or somthing and what is fix.

[Q] About Customizing Stock ROM

Hello. I am using Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000, N7000ZSLR1, Android 4.1.2 Hong Kong version. There are something I am not quite satisfied with the ROM, I have rooted my device with Chinese one key root app so I wonder if there are some ways to customize the ROM.

1.　The first thing is Notification screen. In this Android 4.1.2, when you pull it down, the shortcuts at the top will first display the tiles in picture 1, then it will automatically swipe to picture 2:

Is there any method that can modify / remove tiles at the top? Or at least make it like picture 2 in default when I pull down, no swiping.

2.　In this ROM, the Task Manager no longer display in app drawer like Android 2.3.6, instead I need to long press Home button to go to "Recent App" screen and tap the pie chart icon at the lower left corner to open Task Manager. I'm curious, the system app is in \system\app, and it IS an .apk. So I wonder if I can at least make a shortcut from it and add to "Home Screen", I always need to use it and I don't want to download third party app for this shortcut.

3.　The default Launcher in the stock ROM is TouchWizHome, and by default there are no indication when you tap an icon to open the app. So I wonder if I can add some "effect" to notify me when I open an app, like dim the icon or glow at the edge of icon.

4.　If you are a Titanium Backup user, please tell me that should I wipe system apps' data first before uninstall it. Because it always gives me a feeling of "unclean" if I don't wipe the data before uninstall it. I always uninstall system app to keep my phone slimmer and faster.

My device is GT-N7000, using N7000ZSLR1 Android 4.1.2 stock ROM （Build number：JZO54K.N7000ZSLR1）, used Chinese one key root app to root but unrooted to go to stock recovery to flash the newest Philz recovery (because Odin v3.09 failed to flash it), but fail like below screenshots:

　　　　　　　　　　

I wonder why, I downloaded from the official platform (https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_...Edition/n7000/), and my internet is good so there should be no corrupted files. All stuffs are stock now, so I dunno why.


(Additional info:　If I flash "PhilZ-cwm6-XXLTA-ATL-5.15.0.tar.md5" using Odin, it works, but I want to use the latest Philz recovery, plus, the recovery will switch back to stock one after usage, that means after I press "reboot system now" in Philz recovery XXLTA-ATL-5.15.0, and power off and go to recovery mode again, it's the stock one. Dot't say something like "Oh flash this one then").

[Q] Cannot make calls

Hey guys, a couple of days ago I flashed CWM but did not succeed, had some signature verification issues. But now I have flashed back the stock rom from samsung and i have this very strange problem.

I am getting the network reception but i am not able to make calls. In fact, even the Internet is working (3G). I tried changing the sim card, but that doesn't work either. I am totally confused :confused: what could be the error.

Also when I hold the power button, my phone turns off

Please help me with these issues. Thanks in advance!!

[Q] GT-N7000 not booting after Upgrading philz_touch_6.07.9-n70

Hi Team XDA,

Few Days Back I have Rooted my Samsung Galaxy GT-N7000. I went to Philz's Custom Recovery and upgraded it to 6.07.9.

Process went on Successfully. But when I Re Booted my phone. I could only see "SAMSUNG GALAXY GT-N7000" Logo followed with Blank/Black screen.

Did I install a Custom recovery which Do not support my phone? Coz I saw last 4 letters of my Kernel name and then downloaded it.
Did my phone went to BootLoop? or i Bricked it.

Please Suggest.
