I recently installed PolarisOffice from Ultimate N7000 XXLSC in CM10 Nightly and wondered why the app forceclosed on opening/creating a file. Then after a search I found that it needs additional libraries not contained in CM.
So I searched in the zip of Ultimate N7000 XXLSC for those libraries and found:
libpolarisoffice4.so
libpolarisofficedump.so
libpolaristextviewer.so
libpolarisviewer4.so
After placing them in /system/lib/, everything forceclosed and on reboot the phone failed to boot and fell back to recovery.
First I wiped cache and dalvik too see if its worth anything but same outcome.
Then I deleted those libs again, still no luck.
Then I restored my backup and everything is as before the test.
I dont really need Polaris right now so its not important, thats the reason I didnt post in Q&A.
Q&A threads feel so urgent.
I am just curious: How can those 4 libs mess up the system that badly? Does anyone else have tried this, propably successful?
By the way: What is the purpose of the "Yes, this is a Question!" checkbox in the post creator?
