Guys, if you are somebody like me who is still in love with his Original Note GT-N7000 and are suffering from weird WiFi issue ( WiFi stays light green ) look no further.
I found a way to save my phone and thought of sharing it with those of you who are still searching for some resolution.
Open your Note so that you can see the PCB.
I am not allowed to post links or something so search on Google for GT-N7000 WiFi chip to get an idea of the position.
Look in the image for Samsung Electro Mechanics Bluetooth / FM / WLAN module. Look at the position where the chip is placed.
Now take a piece of paper and fold it so that it matches the size of the chip and place it on top of it ( I.e. the WLAN chip ).
Now put back your cover and tighten up all your screws and make sure that the paper does not slide away.
Now switch on your phone to see that you can actually switch on and off your WiFi and get connected to a network.
I have used this method on my phone if needed I can post images for same.
I tried to repair it watching you tube videos but nothing happened, took it to Samsung customer care and they said that complete board needs to be replaced and the charges for that would be somewhere around $115.
