[Q] Boots to Recovery Only

I acquired a Note GT-N700. When you turn it on it goes to the Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N700 screen then goes directly to the recovery screen.
I have the Samsung drivers installed but when I connect the phone it does not recognize the phone. So Odin will not work either I tried.
I tried the following
apply update from cache NOTHING
wipe data factory reset then reboot NOTRHING
wipe cache partition then reboot NOTHING
I am not familiar with ADB.

Slim n7000 4.4.2
On the 4.4.2 I got the error code 7 which from what I read is the rom won't work on the 7000

Odin did not recognize tried anyway and held my tongue to left and right still nothing

AM I doing something wrong? Or is there a package I have not tried. Not really in the mode to learn yet another system ADB.
