Battery drain when setting lock screen to pattern

Hi,
Using AllianceROM on 4.1.2.Always on swipe to unlock before recently changing to pattern unlock.Since then,I have noticed battery drains on it.Have to revert back.Have searched the forum and found that this is a common problem.(e.g http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1214153)

I would like to ask if there is any setting to on prevent this from happening?
