I rooted my galaxy note as described by philz( placing the zip file in sd card n booting from recovery mode).
the link from where I rooted:
According to the post,I would have had a safe cwm6 kernel with custom recovery mode after rooting.
However, the kernel, baseband version and build number still remain the same even after rooting.
I have a ddlsc(Indian firmware version) and couldn't find much articles related to it.
1) Am I not supposed to have had a new kernel?
2) In case I like to install a custom rom(I like the asterix xperia one n the paranoid),is there nythin elsi goto do other than placing the zip file of the rom in sd card n extracting in the same way..?(I did see few articles on this, but they wer related to dxlse, xxtl kernels)
my device info:
baseband version: N7000DDLS6
kernel : 3.0.31-906407
se. infra@SEP-128#3
SMP PREEMPT
build number: JZ054K.N7000DDLSC
Please help.. :)
