How to solve Failed Signature Verfication for Phliz safe kernel

Hello,
I have a GT N7000 with following specs:
Android Version: 4.0.4
Baseband Version: N7000ZSLPN
Kernel Version: 3.0.8-966809 se.infra@SEI-45#1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Aug 24 19:30:02 KST 2012
Build number: N7000ZSLPN

I have been trying to flash Philz safe kernel: Philz-cwm6-ZSLPN-OZS-2.7-signed.zip but get the following error while verifying update package:
"E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verfication failed"

I have android system recovery <3e>

I have also tried Philz-cwm6-ZSLPN-OZS-3.99-signed.zip, but same error.
Now have tried re-downloading the zip file and also flashing with Philz temporary kernel but the same error message pops up everytime.
I have also tried using different external sd-card, but to no avail.

Kindly suggest a solution :crying: :crying:

I cant flash it through odin since my laptop is not recognizing the usb connection even though i have installed proper and latest usb drivers and also changed the usb cable... So odin not my option
