[Q] Need Help flashing stock rom to GT-N7000

Hi, I want to install AllianceRom on my Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000. I bought the phone used with Paranoid Android installed. I have read many threads, but have questions unanswered:

1) The first line in the AllianceRom install guide says don't ignore checking the checksum, just do it", but doesn't say how to check it.

2) The guide says to flash back to a stock rom first to avoid bricking, but the list on this site of all stock roms for the GT-N7000 has many different roms with many different dates and many different regions, and none for my region (Canada). I need to know which rom to flash before following the AllianceRom install guide.


The following information was acquired from settings/about phone. If any more info is needed, please let me know and I will post it.
