I plan to buy a friend's note n7000, he uses it as an ipod touch because he has deleted "efs" folder with no backup.
The phone is unlocked, i wonder if t is possible to "make the phone work" again
For example by restoring an efs backup from another galaxy note with odin ?
His phone is unlocked by orange (french carrier) to all carrier...
I think the phone is with 2.3.6. but maybe 4.0
I've searched on xda, and other forums and some people managed to restore efs and edit "hex" in files to make the note work again, some other to repair using a .bak file (haven't got it), some other with "galaxy s unlock" from play store, and a shop in my town" can do it for 25", and finally a guy from poland can take control of your PC to flash your phone for 10 but all of these methods are not clear
So is it possible to repair this "efs thing" i don't know what else for free ? ( and i don't really care if this is not perfect, i just want to call/send texts) :confused: (and sorry for my english)
