Ok so i have had my international now for about 6 mos. I got so sick and tired of not getting an ota that i decided to take matters into my own hands.
My version was N7000UBKK2 which has never received an update for some reason. should have stuck with my 717 now that Im thinking about it. Anyways went ahead and flashed the CF Root kernel and was successful. had root and cwm. Wasnt good enough though. called myself gonna flash the new hydracore as it said it was safe with all custom roms. So this is what i did: Downloaded Mobile ODIN and then copied hydracore from pc to the phone root file in sd. pulled up file on mobile odin and tried to flash. That is when my phone went into a soft brick state. will boot into cwm recovery and download mode but thats it. Tried doing a full wipe and then installing older GB stock rom from brick help forum. No luck. pc odin says something about com.port not found. PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS FIX THE SOFT BRICK GUIDE IS NOT WORKING I WILL COMPENSATE FOR A NON DAMAGING FIX THAT WILL GET ME UP AND RUNNING AGAIN. WONT BE A WHOLE LOT AS I HAVE 5 KIDS AND ITS CHRISTMAS BUT I WILL DO MY BEST TO DONATE. GONNA BUST OUT MY ATRIX AND WAIT FOR REPLYS OR P.M S. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!! MODERATELY EXPERIENCED USER.
