remote data wipe (in case SIM is changed or removed)?

there are different apps available to remotely wipe data from your stolen/snatched smart phone or to locate your smartphone, but as far as my research is concern, all apps required a text msg to be sent to activate the app and perform the operation. i need to know if there is any app available that can wipe data(atleast) even with no SIM or changed SIM? because it is quite obvious that when a cellphone is stolen or snatched, it gets powered off immediately(in order to remove SIM)
