Connected symbol (to 3G) but no data transfer
I have been having this issue for a bit now, it hasnt been like this always but only recently.
I also noticed that there was another user who was complaining of the same issue on a KK rom as well.
I have had this issue on Dirty Unicorns and Spirit Rom
I am going to give SlimSaber a try and see if it persists on that as well.
I know it could be network issue but I have never had this problem until recently and I did not change residence etc.
It shows connected in the status bar but there is no is absolutely no data transfer till i turn it on and off. And sometimes even that doesn't work and I have to turn of airplane mode. And this happens every 10 mins so I am sure it is no some sort of connection time-out issue
APN settings seem to be fine and such and I am out of ideas.
Could it be a ROM issue? Any suggestions as to what could help?

[Q] "Select keyboard layout" displayed at every boot
Hey folks,
I am on LiquidSmooth Rom by chasmodo on my N7000.
Every time I reboot it diplays at the the statusbar a message in german that reads about Please select Keyboard Layout. If i click on it im taken to keyboard preferences - no setting changes anything though. Ive eveb set permission to read and write all at the layout directory. Even installing another keyboard like swift doesnt do any difference.
Do you guys have any idea what else i can try to wipe that message permanently?

Heating issue....
[/HIDE][/HIDE][/HIDE][/HIDE][/HIDE][/HIDE][/HIDE][/HIDE]Hi friends whenever I flash a non tw ROM like cm or aosp my phone starts heating it persists even after few days of flashing but whenever I reflash tw ROM problem doesn't appear so is there any way to get rid of this overheating issue I love the fluidity of cm on my note but love the battery life of tw ROM so any suggestions???

Can someone tell me how I can resize the application partition?
I have both Windows and Linux computers to run any software from like fdisk or whatever.
Details:
My phone got so jammed up that I couldn't retrieve email with the Gmail app and I had to remove Chrome (my preferred browser) to make space. I don't want to run Apps on the SD when I have 10GB free internal space that could be used on the phone if only I knew how to move it around.
Thanks to anyone who can tell me how to fix back up my wonderful Note 1 :)

I am using Note GT-N7000.
I rooted it using PhilZ Touch 4 CWM Base Version: 6.0.3.0. After that I tried installing C-RoM-KK-v7.1-22014062-n7000.zip. But m getting status 7 error. I have also checked "updater-script" inside folder META_INF > COM > GOOGLE > ANDROID, everything seems fine in it.
Please help me out in installing Kitkat rom with status 7 error.

Help IMEI Number shows different phone
I've bought a used Galaxy Note N7000 from a private seller.
It works on one particular sim but when any other sim is put into it, it shows as if no sim is inserted in phone.
But the real surprise is that the IMEI number in the phone is different from the one on the sticker under the battery.
The IMEI number in the phone actually belongs to a Galaxy S3.
I'm unsure if both things are linked but can anyone help how I can rectify this.

Super brick without luck :(
Hi to all,
At the moment, it can only enter the "Download" mode.
Even after dozen attempts using Odin with several Pit files + 2 different stock Orange Roms, the phone shows no change at all.
The wierd thing is that Odin shows "PASS" and everything looks fine, but with no actual change.
Did I miss something here? is there any other way to fix this horrible brick thing?? :(
Any help would be much appreciated!

Galaxy note N7000 Help needed Guys
Hello Fellow members,
I bought galaxy note n7000 from India and now I am in canada and only one canadian cellular company sim card is working in this, rest others cellular companies will work only in Canadian cellphones, so friends please tell me that if I put Canadian Firmware on my phone for so will I be able to run canadian sim cards in my phone ? I searched network manually and my phone is showing canadian cellular network but its not registering sim cards.

status 7 error, can't get beyond
I had original/stock rom. I then installed Phliz Touch 5. Then turns out that I need Phliz Touch 6 to install 4.4 rom. I tried to do that via Odin 3.09 but get "FAIL". Installing any rom gives me the status 7 error. Any ideas?

[Q] Radio shutdown after using Mobile Data intensifely
Hey there!
I have a strang problem with my Note, that being that I loose any signal utterly and completely after using the mobile data to some extend. Context: I live in finland right now and here they have unlimited mobile data, so I'm streaming netflix and stuff like that via my mobile connection.
After using roughly 600MB, my radio seems to completely shutdown. This can only be fixed by rebooting the device, I tried many different apps that have to do something with the device's radio, but to no use.
I'm using the latest radio modem software from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1645202 (for jelly bean) and I also tried downgrading my radio (tried 4 older versions), but that only seemed to make the connection slower, but ultimately not fixing my problem.
I'm using the latest stable cyanogen mod (cm-10.1.3-n7000.zip from https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=n7000).
A friend of mine also has the same mobile data thingy, and he streamed and downloaded roughly 100GB in the last 6 weeks without any outages, so it's definitely my device, not the mobile carrier.
Has anyone any ideas on how to fix this?

[Q] How2 get to recovery w/ broken home button?
So I've been an idiot and am stuck. Maybe someone can help me here?
The issue with my Note for a while now is that the home button is broken and it's just not worth fixing (probably, I haven't really checked what it would cost), but then I could work around it with a 'software home button'. But here comes the idiot in me: I've flashed a new rom, but forgot to wype data and cashes and now I'm stuck at the boot screen while at the same time I can't get to recovery because of the broken home button. Duh..
Is there any way out of this?

[Q] Video stuttering on Omnirom?
Hey guys, I finally got around to installing Omnirom 4.4.4 on my n7000.
Only problem is that every video seem to stutter in the beginning, and for Twitch it crashes half the time I try to load a stream. Is this the case for anyone else and do I need to install something?

[Q] Troublehooting with bricked Galaxy Note needed
Ok ,
I tried to extend the lifetime of my Galaxy Note through replacing the official (sloooow) rom with a custom one. I read so many how-to's online that I got confused. Here is what I did:
First I rooted my phone.
Then I installed CWM via RomManager, which did not work. Altough Rommanager shows an installed CWM the phone always start into Stock Recovery.
I learned that the N7000, in order to use CWM needs a flashed kernel.
I flashed the kernel via Heimdall (Mac OS) with this philz_touch_6.48.4-n7000.tar.md5.
The flashing went successfull (according to Heimdall), and the phone rebooted automatically, but all I see since then is the Samsung Logo (Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000) and a yellow triangle. From there is goes nowhere. I can enter Download Mode, but is does not boot. Also no Recovery Mode. Weird.
Any advice where to take it from here? Do I have to flash back the original kernel?
