Help Needed For Rooting / New Rom
Good Morning guys im not a Noob but im gonna ask a couple of Noob questions lol ive just smashed the screen on my Sony Xperia Ultra and so its off to get fixed so im using a N7000 as a back until it comes back but could but a couple of months as so im gonna root the N7000 and get KitKat on her but need some info first. Its running 4.1.2 at the minute and is completely stock. Can you advise which Kernal im safe to use and which kernel will then allow me to install KitKat from it also which is the preffered rooting procedure as ive not touched a N7000 since august last year and it looks like alots changed lol Thanks for any replies.

[Q] Query regarding Arya Mod V5.5
i am currently using CM 11 on my Galaxy Note. but i have quite a heavy requirement for the camera in the phone and the camera that comes with CM is not that good. everything else is amazing. i found this Arya Rom based on TW and 4.1.2 JB and i can use the stock camera app i guess which was great when i used to have the stock rom. now the question is that thisnrom requires first reverting back to stock. i installed custom rom quite some months ago. so i dont rememeber any info abt the stock rom.i first used Asylum and the omni and then CM. so if i download the stock firmware now how would i know which one to download for my phone. i dnt remember that DDLSC or DDLS6 thing. Or does that code matters only while downloading Philz Recovery. And lastly can i flash Arya directly through my current recovery CWM 6.0.4.7. Please help

[Q] stripes and differnt kinds of pixels run down screen
Hi I hope you can help me because I am running out of solutions
I have a galaxy note GT n7000 that started getting laggy so I rooted it first with Philz JB Rom. That went fine for half a year then it started shutting down now and then. I don't know why.
I then installed the latest Asylum omni rom 4.4.2 together with a new CWM and Gapps from the SD card. Worked fine for a week then started comming white stripes running over the screen until it shut down or sometimes freezing the screen and tiny dots getting brighter on the screen until shout down.
I reebooted and wiped sevaral times and reinstalled - no change
I then changed the battery (not original Samsung, but brand new) , but the problem is the same.
My warrenty just ran out :(
What should I do - are there any Roms that may be lighter on the energy on the phone, that could help, if it is a energy problem?
Is the phone /screen / other hardware dead?

[Q] is N7000 Screen flex ribbon connector reparable?
i accidentally damaged the main screen connector cble of my galaxy note n 7000. local shop recomended to replace whole screen which is going to cost me 200$ . the screen is not damaged, only a small dent on ribbon at the curved part along side bezel. is is replacable? can anyone give me purchase link online? i havent checked with samsung center yet,

galaxy note screen warm when playing games
Is it dangers if i play game in a long time with that condition? i m afraid to damage the screen is anyone have use the note since launch and dont counter any problem with playing games up to screen become warm? :confused:

Bad GPS
Hi Guys,

Lately my gps start work very bad.
When I navigate with Waze / Google Maps or any gps application it lock for one minute and then the signal lost and it searching gps forever...
I already try download GPS fix and fast GPS
I running offical 4.1.2 rom with speedmod kernel the problem also appear on CM 11 nightly.
what can I do?

Weird problem with modems: "Unknown" baseband, IMEI, etc.

I always have been using custom roms(only TW) and updating my note to the latest version and I never had a problem.
One day, some months after the last rom update, started to lose the phone network conection and I was getting pop-ups with "Refreshing SIM data"(was very annoying because that was turning on the phone screen every few minutes). Sometimes I had phone network and sometimes I hadn't. The disconnections became more frequently. The phone also started to eat up the free space for apps, so I had to remove several apps to install or update even a small one.
So I decided to change to a different ROM to see if that fixes both problems, but I got the actual problem.
I was in AllianceRom v3 JB when that happened.
I flashed this AryaMod 5.5 JB following their instructions and I got this weird problem. In the "About phone" says that the Baseband version, IMEI, IMEI SV, Network and My phone number are "Unknown". I can't even search for mobile networks because it says "Insert SIM card" when I try to open the Mobile networks menu. Tehre are no signal bars, only a "denied" icon on the status bar.
I tested all JB modems and some from ICS from the "all modems" thread, but I was getting the same "Unknown" things in each one, except the XXLSO, where the Baseband version, IMEI and IMEI SV were okey. I could also find mobile networks with this modem, and the "Refreshing SIM data" thing returned, but it was not possible to connect to a network. With this one, there aresignal bars, but they are empty.
I flashed the AllianceRom and even the old ICS rom I had before, but the problem persisted, even with the modems they came with.
Now I'm on the latest Samsung rom(LT4), unmodified and flashed with odin and the problem persist.
I found this old thread. His initial problem is very similar to mine, but they don't know what caused it nor how to fix it.
I have also found something about corruped IMEIs that you can fix doing something with the ADB and restoring EFS folder, but I think that is not my case because I can see my original IMEI with the XXLSO modem (and I my EFS folder looks OK, anyway I have no backup of that).
I don't expect to get a step-by-step tutorial about how to fix this, but I hope somebody can put me in the right direction. I will post the solution if I find one!

Notification panel does not pull down
I forgot to charge my phone and it died over night. When i charged it anf turned it on i lost my notifivation panel. I have sat here for over an hour trying to pull it down. Checked settings cant find a setting to turn it on or off. Can somebody plz help

[Q] fluctuating mobile interent 3g on all roms
i've been using many roms from sweet rom, rocket rom, aryamod to vengenence note to cm9/cm10/cm10.2/cm11 to asylum/asylum omni to c-rom etc.... im currently using c-rom
In every single rom i've been getting a similar issue, where randomnly when im not on wifi and i attempt to use the mobile internet, the phone won't change from from edge/2g to 3g, to solve the issue i usually have to turn earplane mode on then off. of course sometimes it works flawlessly. its just its an issue that is quite irritating sometimes.
Is this something I just have to live with? or can i potentially fix this? if so, how? I would be greatful if anyone can offer any help.

[Q] Back to factory settings
I never liked cellphones and avoided them for years until I got a Galaxy Note as a gift. I gave it a try but after a year of minimum use I can safely say that it doesn't appeal to me.
So I want to sell it, but the problem is in my attempt to like it I rooted it and it seems like resetting to factory settings with a root may cause on a brick, so I'm wondering, what would be the exact procedure I have to follow in order to get it to be as it was on day 1?
Model: GT-N7000
Android version: 4.0.4
Root: SuperSU
I mention SuperSU because it seems like it has an unroot option on It's menu. Do I just use that and then search for the factory reset option and I'm done?

[Q] Not registered on network
Hi Guys,
Since last week I have been having the issue of 'not registered on network' and i have read every form and anything and everything google has to offer to fix this.
My trusty note has never given me any issues till this happened.
After reading threads extensively i have tried the various methods i came across.
I rooted the phone (originally it was all stock nothing changed till this problem) installed custom roms it made no difference,. Flashed various modem versions still no joy.
My imei is still the same as it should be no changes.
I have full signal strength. I have tried everything please advise!!

[Q] Unable to Re-Flash Samsung Firmware Via Odin
Hi,
Ive just re flash a Samsung official firmware to my Note, ver 4.1.2. Then later after a short while, Ive decided to re-flash with another release same v 4.1.2. I am able to flash it like always using Odin but after rebooting I was back to the old ROM with previous setting still intact. Tried a couple more time but stil the same. Tried with a third release still gave me the same result.
This is my first time having this issue, re-flash via odin but the original ROM remains with the same setting although flash was successful.
Appreciate if anyone can help. Thanks.
